Festibérico, ons Spaans en Portugees Filmfestival, barst weer los van 27 september tot en met 5 oktober! Deze editie omvat 21 speelfilms, animatiefilms en documentaires uit Spanje en Portugal. Met speciale gasten, livemuziek, gratis wijn, nagesprekken is dit hét festival vol zuidelijk vuur.
Bijzonder thema is de overgang van dictatuur naar democratie: in Portugal vorig jaar 50 jaar geleden, in Spanje dit jaar. Op 27 september vertonen we twee Spaanse films rond dit thema Te estoy amando locamente en El 47 met als bijzondere gasten Mar Cambrollé die in Spanje onder Franco de eerste betoging voor homorechten organiseerde en Stefanie Massink (Universiteit Utrecht), die komt vertellen over de relatie tussen Spanje en Nederland rond deze overgang. Revolução (sem) sangue beschrijft de overgang naar democratie in Portugal en biedt een uniek perspectief op dit onderwerp. Een drietal regisseurs uit Spanje en Portugal komt naar het festival om over hun films te vertellen.
Op beide zondagmiddagen besteden we op aandacht aan Portugese en Spaanse animatiefilms. De slotfilm is La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés, een van de succesvolste documentaires van het afgelopen filmfestival Rotterdam en verder niet in Nederland te zien.
In het reguliere programma van Lumen zijn er tijdens het festival enkele vertoningen van de Spaanse film Sorda. Op de zondagmiddagen zijn er tussen de festivalvoorstellingen muziekoptredens in de foyer. Bij enkele voorstellingen is er gratis wijn en zijn er hapjes.
Alle films zijn speciaal geïmporteerd voor het festival en Spaans of Portugees gesproken en Engels ondertiteld, tenzij anders vermeld. Om dit bijzondere festival mogelijk te maken is de reguliere toegangsprijs voor alle voorstellingen € 13,-.

Festibérico, our Spanish and Portuguese Film Festival, is back from 27 September to 5 October! This edition features 21 feature films, animated films and documentaries from Spain and Portugal. With special guests, live music, free wine and post-screening discussions, this is the festival full of southern fire.
A special theme is the transition from dictatorship to democracy: 50 years ago in Portugal, and this year in Spain. On 27 September, we will be screening two Spanish films on this theme, Te estoy amando locamente and El 47, with special guests Mar Cambrollé, who organised the first demonstration for gay rights in Spain under Franco, and Stefanie Massink (Utrecht University), who will talk about the relationship between Spain and the Netherlands during this transition. Revolução (sem) sangue describes the transition to democracy in Portugal and offers a unique perspective on this subject. Three directors from Spain and Portugal will be attending the festival to talk about their films.
On both Sunday afternoons, we will be focusing on Portuguese and Spanish animated films. The closing film is La guitarra flamenca by Yerai Cortés, one of the most successful documentaries of the last Rotterdam Film Festival and not otherwise shown in the Netherlands.
During the festival, Lumen’s regular programme will include several screenings of the Spanish film Sorda. On Sunday afternoons, there will be musical performances in the foyer between festival screenings. Some screenings will be accompanied by free wine and snacks.
All films have been specially imported for the festival and are in Spanish or Portuguese with English subtitles, unless otherwise stated. To make this special festival possible, the regular admission price for all screenings is €13.
