Director Marc can’t bear the endless criticism from the producers about his film and escapes with his footage and editor to the French Cevennes to be able to finish the project in peace. There, too, the end is nowhere in sight, as his creativity manifests in endless ideas that keep interrupting the process. Ideas that are both comical and downright disturbing…

Director Michel Gondry, known for his Oscar-winning film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, made films that became famous for their innovative and imaginative visual language, such as The Science of Sleep and Mood Indigo. A studio made of cardboard boxes, long spaghetti legs to dance with, a flying cloud in the shape of a submarine? Nothing was too crazy.
