A man wakes in the middle of the night to the uncanny sound of his vacuum cleaner coughing—an absurd disturbance that marks the beginning of a wildly original, darkly comic tale layered with romance, surrealism, and political undertones.
Since the death of his wife, March has been inconsolable. But during a visit to his mother’s struggling factory, he hears a familiar voice: Nat, his late wife, has returned as a ghost—inhabiting a vacuum cleaner. As March rekindles his love in this strange new form, his family remains skeptical, especially since the factory has long been plagued by vengeful spirits.
Determined to help, Nat uses her spectral powers to restore order and revive the factory. But when she is recruited by powerful figures to eliminate “unproductive” ghosts, she becomes entangled in the ambitions of a corrupt elite. Gradually, Nat is drawn further into their agenda, putting her at odds with March and threatening to tear them apart once again.
