Lumen x Studium Generale is back! Our monthly collaboration once again brings you the freshest and most exciting voices in contemporary cinema. This time, we’re presenting a special preview of Primetime, starring Robert Pattinson. Following its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and a successful US release through A24, Primetime arrives in Dutch cinemas on 5 November. Before then, you can catch it at Lumen — and during DEFF – Delft Film Fest, from 27 October to 1 November.
The screening will be introduced by journalist and film lecturer Gerlinda Heywegen. Student special: tickets are only €8.50 with a valid student card, including a free soft drink or small draft beer.
In 2006, television host Chris Hansen (Robert Pattinson) is on the verge of making history with the programme To Catch a Predator, in which adult men who believe they are meeting a minor are lured into a sting operation and confronted with their actions.
The film is produced by A24 and Square Peg and directed by Lance Oppenheim, who makes his feature film debut with Primetime after several documentaries. Alongside Robert Pattinson, the cast includes Phoebe Bridgers, Anna Faris and Merritt Wever. The film has been selected for the competition at the Venice Film Festival.
